Make Money Online With Adsense

I’ve been quite busy last week. Guess what? It’s raining non-stop for 2 weeks and the city is basically a river now. What a bummer! At any rate, I will talk about how to make money online with Adsense. All you need to do is create an account with Google or visit www.google.com/adsense for more info. If you haven’t set up an account then do yourself a favor. If you haven’t started your own blogger (http://www.blogspot.com/) account well it’s owned by Google so you can login using the same account.

Blogspot has this feature wherein you can add Adsense in a matter of seconds. I told you it is owned by Google. Create a blog and play around with the controls.

Notice my Adsense locations. The first one is a 336 x 280 Large Rectangle. This is positioned on the upper part where the ads are very effective. The second one is placed on the right part, which is a 160 x 600 Vertical Wide Banner. The placing of ads is important if you want to make more money. Putting it on the bottom of the page is not very effective at all. My blog is not appealing but the ads are properly put in together and that what matters. Select the “Minima” template and avoid those fine-looking because it will not make you any richer.

To add Adsense, just click the “Add a Page element” then look for Adsense name. Now, this is easy. The hard part is to drive traffic to your new site. Your initial target is at least 500 – 1000 visitors’ everyday to your site. The more visitors, the greater the chance they will click on the ads. Now how in the world will you do that?

You need to pick a niche or keyword target, a properly optimize page and a couple of backlinks.

Before we move on, let me tell you that I’m no expert at this at all but I will try to explain everything to the best of my abilities. So if you think I made a mistake then your comments are greatly appreciated. I will discuss about niche blogging for now.

What is niche blogging?

Niche blogging is actually creating hundreds or maybe thousands of crappy blogs that will attract many visitors at once. This is a dirty reality to earning fast cash with blogging and I tell you it is effective especially with Adsense. This is a very unethical technique but just like I said, if you want instant money, then this is the solution. Basically, you create a blog spontaneously depending on the keyword demand. The best examples are the current events or latest buzz or gadgets, conspiracies and any topic that is latest in the news. Create a 5-minute crappy blog about them. The design of the blog isn’t necessary pretty because all you want is the click from the visitors. If your blog is ugly then most probably they will click on the ads that look promising. Approximately 10% of your visitors will click the Adsense and that will elevate your revenue. Are you getting the idea now? You are for the clickers not for the readers. It’s like ok don’t read my blog just click the damn ads.

If you’re a current event specialist then use it to your advantage. Create a blog that will dominate a chosen niche. Apply SEO techniques then wait for Google to index it. If you properly set up your keywords then hopefully in a matter of days your blog will be on page 1 on Google SERP. That’s sweet!

Now for the last part I will give you a bonus. Visit www.digg.com. Create an account then submit your blog or article in there. I mentioned about backlinks a while ago and this is it. Backlinks according to Wiki are incoming links to a website or web page. The number of backlinks is an indication of the popularity or importance of that website or page. You see Digg.com, Yahoo Answers, Youtube.com, etc has higher PR or Page Rank. If you have a Google toolbar, you can enable Page Rank from the settings. Page ranking is like priority or authority over a website. Two identical blogs with same content and keyword will not be the same on SERP if one has higher authority than the other. Now what you want to do is to place your blog links on higher PR sites. If the links came from a higher PR then Google will think that your site is of higher importance. It will index your site pretty fast and if you’re lucky it will be on page 1 in an hour or even minutes. It is because Google crawl websites with higher PR most of the time so building backlinks is as important to keyword optimization. Making money online with Adsense is a tough job for beginners but this will help you get started.

Let me first discuss Search Engine Optimization before we move on to actual money making. What is SEO? Wikipedia says it's the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results for targeted keywords. In short, SEO is a method of increasing the traffic to your website. Now how in the world would you do that?

First off, we will focus on Google search engine. Why? It’s very obvious that Google is a popular search engine and majority uses that. What we really want is a page rank #1 from Google SERP. How many times have you click on page 3 or page 4 on Google results? It is seldom to none. Now here comes the fact that what matters really is the page 1 from Google search engine results page. If your website appears on that page, chances are you will have massive visitors to your site. Bingo! The more traffic means the more chance the for the visitors to click on the pay per click ad. The more traffic the more money.

I will discuss to you about Adsense and how to monetize your blog on the next topic and explain how the abrupt increase of traffic will increase your revenue. For now, monetizing your blog is not the first priority. If you want a bigger outcome then you have to wait and be patient. If you’re desperately in need of money then you can create thousands of blogs then monetize it but don’t expect to get high rank from Google for the reason that monetized pages are given low priority compared to non monetized but it depends.

Ok I am getting out of topic now, so back to Search Engine Optimization.

There are many techniques in optimizing your webpage. We'll start from top to bottom of your webpage or blog.

1. SEO for URL Selection - Consider the name of your website be relevant to what topic or contents of the site. For example, your website is about selling flowers. Your best URL probably would be www.cheapflowers.com. The word cheap there is a keyword. You wouldn’t want to put www.theuniverse.com or www.expensiveflowers.com. Flowers and universe doesn’t make sense. This is a factor that will give you the edge on searches with any keyword. If you can’t afford a domain name, then there are free blogs like blogspot or wordpress.
   
2. SEO for Webpage Title – Observe how my title page coincides with my URL. Its make money online on both my URL and title. Well, that’s self explanatory.
   
3. SEO for Keywords – This is very important. Place relevant keywords to your web page. For example in a blog, place keywords that you’ll usually discuss or is topic-related. Place a separation for each unlike keywords. Be a comma ( , ) or pipe ( ). Google bot will crawl to your site and will read the keyword. If you don’t put a separation, the bot will be confused to what your site is all about. Take for instance a reading material. Will you able to read and comprehend a very long paragraph without punctuation marks? Hell no.
   
4. SEO for Post Contents - Repeat the keywords on your posts but not too much. Be aware that there is keyword density. Do not flood your post with the same keyword over and over again otherwise Google will kick your arse in the index and sue you. Notice how I sneak in the word “SEO” from the beginning of the enumeration and in this sentence.
   
5. SEO for Post Update – The more high-quality content of the page, the better. There’s a greater chance of making your page on top if you have more post. Here’s an analogy. In a lottery, you’ll have more chance of winning if you buy more tickets than buying just one. Capiche?
   

To sum it up, always remember the keyword relevance, keyword replication and keyword density. All right, that's it for the meantime. Hope you get a good grasp about Search Engine Optimization by now.
